Oocytes vitrification.

Vitrification is a technique that allows us to successfully freeze human eggs, preferably coming from women under 37 years of age. By vitrifying the eggs, their "genetic age" will stay the same until the day the woman decides to become a mother.

The vitrification consists of using very high concentrations of cryoprotectors that dehydrate the cell almost entirely. Through this process you can avoid the formation of ice crystals that may tear the cell's organs and lead to its death during the freezing process.

Once the eggs have been vitrified, they are kept in liquid nitrogen at a temperature of -196 ºC. At such temperature the eggs practically have no expiration date.

When the right time comes for the woman to become a mother, the eggs are devitrified, inseminated with sperm, end the resulting embryos are transferred into her uterus within 2 or 3 days.
