Here is some useful information on how to get to Imfer and organize your stay in Murcia
HOW TO GET TO IMFER
By plane: the closest airports are Alicante and Murcia-San Javier. Both are about a 40-minute drive from Murcia. Alicante’s airport is larger and better served.
Connections between Alicante airport and Murcia:
Taxi. You will find taxis 24/7 at the exit of the airport. The price of a ride to Murcia is approximately 70 euros.
Bus. Direct line between the airport and Murcia bus depot. The stop is located in front of the arrival area at Terminal 1: cross the road and go up the ramp toward the pay parking. The stop of the buses to Murcia is on your right just after the ramp. You can buy your ticket from the driver (approximately 4.50 €). There is a bus every two hours from 7,15 a.m. till 9,15 p.m. The ride takes about 45 minutes.
Rental car. When leaving the airport turn left, and enter the motorway toward Murcia – Almería – Granada. When arriving to Murcia disregard the first few exits to teh city and continue following the signs to Murcia-Cartagena. Get off the motorway at the Murcia Ronda Norte exit (nº 140). On the exit keep to your right, and turn immediately right in the very first street (calle San Antón), without entering the roundabout. Turn right again after the Mercadona supermarket (Plaza Nueva de San Antón/Calle Desembojo). At the third crossing you will find calle Olof Palme; IMFER is to your right.
Connections between San Javier airport and Murcia:
En taxi. The price of a ride to Murcia is approximately 65 euros
En bus: Take a taxi to the stop of bus nº 70 in the town of San Javier. Bus nº 70 leaves San Javier to Murcia every hour and 40 minutes from 7.40 a.m. until 9,40 p.m.
Rental car. Follow the signs toward the motorway to Murcia. When arriving in town, take exit nº 141 (Murcia Ronda Norte). On the exit keep to your right, and turn immediately right in the very first street (calle San Antón), without entering the roundabout. Turn right again after the Mercadona supermarket (Plaza Nueva de San Antón/Calle Desembojo). At the third crossing you will find calle Olof Palme; IMFER is to your right
WHERE TO PARK
You may park free of charge with no time limits in the spaces marked with white lines. Spaces marked in blue or green are paying (pay at the park meter). Do not park in spaces marked in orange as they are reserved to residents and you will get a fine. At the back of our institute you will find a multi-storey paying car park: to get there follow the “P FREMM” signs
